Welcome to our latest series, Lifestyle Science. These are interviews we are doing with POC leaders in the health and wellness industries where we deep dive into their lifestyle. They give us their personal guide to living well so your in touch with emerging wellness trends, nutrition and self-care for glowing mental and physical health.

 

What inspired me to become a Yoga teacher:

Yoga pulled me out of a dark place and influenced my way of life positively. I wanted people to experience the gift of yoga from the physical benefits to the mental.

Favourite Yoga Pose:

My favorite yoga pose is any pigeon pose variation because of how it releases the hips and is very soothing.

What I most love about power yoga:

I love how energetic it makes me feel after a sweaty intense session.

Best places to do Yoga in Lagos:

The beach, a park or open field , a yoga studio if you can afford it.

Recommended Yoga poses recommend to get rid of  muscle pain:

  • Supine pigeon for the legs

  • Child pose for the hips and shoulders

  • Supine twist for the low back

  • Seated forward fold for the spine and hamstrings

Favourite plant based dish:

 Efo riro, It’s a Yoruba delicacy with vegetables.

Three vitamins I use to keep my skin healthy:

  • Cod liver oil

  • Vitamin A

  • Vitamin C
